There are sooooo many bikes in the Netherlands. It is the best way to get around Amsterdam. Bikes always have the right-of-way and have their own lanes, redlights, etc. We're going to take our two mountain bikes and buy two used bikes over there so that we'll have 4 in total for guests. Beth is anxious to get one of the upright bikes with the basket...seems to be about 90% of the bikes over there.
The move is on! ... But not until August. The paperwork is taking a bit longer than expected. We rented a house starting Aug. 1. Beth may end up over there in mid-july, but I'll be along shortly after.
