Edinburgh

Beth and I have both been up to our necks in hectic work issues and haven't had much time for kicking-back and relaxing.  The work-life balance thing is definitely out of kilter.  We both knew that it would be a tough few months in the run-up to 2012, so we've hunkered down to keep ahead of some aggressive deadlines and demanding clients.  But "all work and no play makes Dan a dull boy"...as they say.   So, we hopped up to Edinburgh for a long weekend with Joe and Sharon to blow of a little steam.  We didn't think it would work out, but we also managed to catch Nancy when she was in town.  It's been a lot of years since we've seen each other and it took a lot of bottles of wine and wee hours of the night to catch-up in a proper fashion.  Good fun!  Here are a few pics from the IUP reunion...part I in Scotland.

Hmmmm.....seems to me that I've got a similar picture of Jim and Steve.  Well, at least Nancy looks good.

The excellent dinner cooked in the tiny little kitchen and served on the tiny little table.

Tromping up the pass to the top of Arthur's Seat.....

....where the city and North Sea views were spectacular!

The crew at the top....

...and then at the bottom, basking in the sun.

Edinburgh is a really great city, with some views resembling old Rome...

...and others with their own unique Edinburgh character.

Whiskey tasting in the largest whiskey collection in the world.  I FINALLY get single malt!

Cheers lads!
